We recently set up a large wireless speaker system at the ICA Maxi grocery store in Helsingborg. The system delivered clear sound and allowed for customized sound zones, which led the owner of the Helsingborg store to recommend our Audio Pro Business solution to the ICA Maxi store in Ängelholm. As a result, the Ängelholm store decided to install the same system to improve their in-store audio experience.
Installing large, wireless speaker systems in larger stores like ICA Maxi can certainly be a challenge. The areas are sometimes so large that a wireless system simply would not work. But for us, large areas are not a problem. Nils Ankarcrona, CEO of Audio Pro explains; “Our system is fully scalable to accommodate larger store areas, even of this size. This is something that we are the only ones in this industry to be able to offer. The fact that you do not have to close the store during installation is also something that is perceived positively by our customers. The installation is so quick and easy that it does not cause any major inconvenience to store visitors, and installation can therefore take place during the store's opening hours.”
Daniel Andersson, Store Manager at ICA Maxi Helsingborg, says; “There has been a major difference in how the store environment is perceived, since we installed these speakers from Audio Pro Business. It was immediately perceived very positively by the staff, in that sense that it felt like a much more modern store environment. And the possibility of being able to use different zones is also perceived as very positive. Being able to play a little higher volume in one zone and a little lower in another, fulfills an important function for us. Initially, it was too big a change for some customers to go from a completely quiet environment to something that was perceived as more lively and busy, and it took a while to get the right volume level in place. But now it seems to be perceived as solely positive by all.”
“Previously, we had royalty-free music, that nobody recognized, via our old speaker system, and that sounded incredibly bad. So when this Audio Pro Business system was promoted via ICA Sounds, and we were able to get speakers that sounded much better and at the same time music with songs that are well-known from the radio, the choice became very easy. Now we play music that customers and staff recognize, through speakers that have the quality it needs to sound really good,” explains Daniel Andersson.
Sebastian Damreus, Store Manager at ICA Maxi Ängelholm, says that their interest in installing wireless speakers from Audio Pro came after a recommendation from the owner of the store in Helsingborg, who had had the system installed at his place for a few years. “We followed their recommendation, and we are very happy for this today. Just like them, we also had a similar speaker system for fire alarms, which we played music through, and it sounded really bad. It makes a big difference now that we are able to play music through our Audio Pro speakers instead,” explains Sebastian Damreus. “And we think being able to adjust the sound level via the sound zones is incredibly simple and user-friendly.”
